Leadership
Christine Gannon, Managing Partner of Brightworks Consulting, is well known in the public and private sector as an exemplary leader and an invested architect of change. She launched Brightworks Consulting in 2007 and her national team of consultants provide strategic planning, workforce development, business process improvement and organizational design to companies of all sizes.
Ms. Gannon was awarded the 2021 Phoenix Business Journal’s Outstanding Women in Business Award and the Capitol Times awarded Christine with the 2020 Women Achievers of Arizona Award.
Prior to launching Brightworks Consulting, Ms. Gannon was the Global Leader for Transformation and Change at IBM, as well as Vice President of Business Process Improvement and Lean Six Sigma holding a Master Black Belt certification. She served as a leader, advisor and consultant for IBM’s internal transformation efforts and led global teams within IBM’s Outsourcing and Operations Strategy, specifically serving Fortune 100 organizations. Before joining IBM, Ms. Gannon served as a Global Program and Communications Executive at American Express, delivering key technology initiatives in the Asia Pacific regions, Australia and the UK.
Part of her prior experience includes time serving the US Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Veterans Economic Communities Initiative (VECI) as a Strategic Advisor. Ms. Gannon successfully crafted and delivered VECI’s key mission and objectives in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders including Congress, agency partners, government and non-government organizations, non-profits, service members and Veterans. She developed influential strategies that were implemented at the national level, with direct impact to Arizona, connecting Veterans and transitioning service members with competitive employment and education opportunities.
Ms. Gannon is the author of The Excellence Code: 7 Steps to Achieve Lasting Impact™ and co-author for Constitutional Grit: Grit as the Catalyst for Female Equity in the C Suite. Christine contributes her expertise to the community via volunteering, board memberships and mentoring.
