Monica-Painer

With over twenty-five years of client sales, proposal and capture management, engagement management, consulting, and team facilitation experience, Monica Painter is well known in industry and government as a Subject Matter Expert and a certified Master Black Belt/Change Agent.

Prior to founding DolJenn in 2014, Ms. Painter was IBM’s Global Leader for Lean Six Sigma, as well as the Operations Strategy Partner for Operations and Supply Chain Management. She served as a leader, advisor and consultant for IBM’s internal business transformation and led over 300 consultants within their Operations Strategy and Supply Chain Business Service Areas.

Before joining IBM, Ms. Painter served as Vice President Quality at GE Capital after having led multi-functional teams in strategic and business transformation engagements at Andersen Consulting – now known as Accenture.

Most recently, she supported the US Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Veterans Economic Communities Initiative (VECI) as the National Public Engagement Strategic Advisor. The goal of the VECI was to increase education and employment opportunities for veterans by bringing together local and national employers to coordinate services for veterans, service members and military families.

Ms. Painter developed the program’s mission and objectives and collaborated with internal and external stakeholders including Congress, agency partners, government and non-government organizations, non-profits, service members and veterans. She developed various strategies for connecting veterans and transitioning service members with local and regional competitive employment and education opportunities.

Drawing from the experience and successes of the VECI, she created a national collaborative called VeteransNCommand. The collaborative coalesces a national network of Executive Consultants committed to promoting the economic mobility of veterans and their families.

Ms. Painter earned a BS in Marketing and Management from the McIntire School of Commerce, University of Virginia, and an MBA from the Carroll School of Management, Boston College.
